Some transport advice:

  • From Barajas Airport: take the subway's (Metro in spanish) line 8 up to Nuevos Ministerios; then switch in Nuevos Ministerios to the train system (Tren de Cercanías in spanish). Take any of the train lines heading for Atocha (C-2,C-3,C-4,C-7 or C-10). Step down in Atocha and transfer to line C-5 direction Humanes, up to Leganés Central, your final stop. As you walk out of Leganés Central station, make a left turn and walk straight for about 500 m. to the University Campus.
  • From Atocha train station: take the train (Tren de cercanías) line C-5 direction Humanes up to Leganés Central, your final stop. As you walk out of Leganés Central station, make a left turn and walk straight for about 500 m. to the University Campus.

Structure of the Meeting

The scientific program comprises four 40 min. plennary talks, as well as several 20 min. ordinary communications, grouped in parallel sessions. The plennary invited speakers are:

  • Dr. Carlos Beltrán (Universidad de Cantabria)
  • Dr. Rafael Bru (Universidad Politécnica de Valencia)
  • Dr. Richard Brualdi (University of Wisconsin-Madison)
  • Dr. Volker Mehrmann (Technische Universität Berlin - NICONET Speaker)

All talks should be delivered in english, except for a few ones which will exceptionally be given in spanish. Those participants who want to give their talk in spanish should let the organizers know when submitting their abstract (see Abstract Submission), in order to be able to group the talks in spanish in the same session.


Subsidies

Four subsidies for free registration and lodging are offered for pre- or post-doctoral students, which will be assigned in view of the curricula of the applicants. These should send their CVs, together with some student status certification, to the e-mail address

expressing their intention to apply for the subsidy. Such a certification will also be asked to participants registering with the reduced student fee.


ALAMA Network Assembly

The Fourth ALAMA Network Assembly will be held in the afternoon of June 28th. Participants of the Meeting who are also members of the Network are kindly asked to attend.


Lunches

The lunches on June 27th, 28th and 29th are covered by the registration fee. The Banquet dinner of June 28th in the evening might be covered or not, depending on budgetary considerations.
